After a two-year hiatus, America’s favorite singing competition show has finally returned to airways on Sunday, March 11th, with a two hour premiere. This time around, sitting at the judges’ table are singing sensations Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. And of course, the show would not be the same without Ryan Seacrest as the host. In this 16th season there are many new contestants with big dreams and incredible talent with hopes to become the next American idol. The auditions kicked off in August. Traveling from Portland, Oregon to Orlando, Florida, the Idol Bus had begun its nationwide search. There have been some changes to the show, as this season, there are alternative ways to audition, rather than in person. The opportunity to audition was made available online and via social media platforms using the tag: #TheNextIdol. Make sure you don’t miss the action and tune in to ABC Sundays and Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET.
