Rock paper scissors says shoot!!! The third annual RPS tournament was held at John F. Kennedy High School earlier this year. The tournament is not only a fun ice breaker in the JFK community but an important fundraiser throughout the school.  This year, 316 students, teachers and staff participated in the tournament and $1200 was donated to assist the Bahamas for hurricane relief efforts following the devastation of Hurricane Dorian. The tournament culminated at the Fall Pep Rally with the final four contestants from different grades squaring off in front of the entire school. The tournament was won by sophomore Ruby Lapidus who edged out senior Emily Moore in an exciting finale. The Championship belt was presented by past winners Jake Dipollito and Jonathan Ivers. A raffle for entering the tournament was also held and this year’s lucky winner of a new pair of Airpods was freshman Anthony Torre.
