Azaria Vargas
This is Azaria Vargas, our Editor-in-Chief. She is a senior at Kennedy and will be going on to play softball at Williams College in the fall. She is an All-County softball player for Kennedy and the lead percussionist in the Wind Ensemble. She continues to be involved in Kennedy as the Event Coordinator of Student Government, an Executive Board member of the school bands, and a member of Animal Advocates, Tutors for a Cure, ONE World Club, the pit orchestra, Math Team, and Senior Class. Outside of school, she is a player on the Long Island Pride 18U, an avid skier, writer, and volunteer, working with groups like Bobbi  and the Strays, the Meadowbrook Women's Initiative, and the Young Athletes Special Olympics program. She is also an AP Scholar with Honor, National Hispanic Honor recipient, Good Deeds Award for Long Island Teenagers recipient, and member of numerous honor societies. Her writing has won the literature category of the Reflections contest in 2016 and 2017. She is very excited about the initiation of the website and hopes that it can be used to bring a new era forth of Kennedy school news.
